🐦Twitter Sales

Selling via Twitter is one of the best forms of acquiring sales as people are constantly searching for events on there. We recommend (where you can) to setup an events page account. Building one of these up will in turn land you many more private sales. As you can see above my account Has fully branded graphics which makes the account look much more professional than a personal account you may sell on. Everything from the look of a profile is all psychology based for potential buyers.

Buyers will always looks for the following:

  • How many followers does the account have?

  • Is the account verified? (blue check mark)

  • Is the account actively posting?

  • Do they have references / reviews?

Twitter is filled with bot / scam accounts, It's extremely hard for manual buyers to try and filter through these to find people like us. I advise everyone making an account to create a legit check / reference thread like mine above. Here you can have buyers leave you a review which you can build up over time and then link all potential clients. By having a legit check thread I would personally say it increases your chance of selling by over 75%. Buyers will always ask for proof 99% of the time and by you offering this plus an additional form of legitimacy by showing them reviews on your profile they will be more inclined to trust you.

Reviews are what we live for when building our pages. As you can see from above whenever I sell tickets for an event I get the buyer to leave me a review, the more in depth the better!

You can ask existing buyers to leave you a review on things like:

  • Payment method (paid via bank transfer)

  • How quickly the buyer received tickets after purchasing

  • How good the service was

Buyers will be more inclined to purchase when they see reviews that resonate with them, most people are afraid of getting scammers on social media as it is littered with scammers.

You can also request reviews from members in our #socials channel. Here you can leave your thread links and other members will leave reviews for you. In order to build our pages we need to work together.

Graphic posts are also key when tweeting your listings also. Rather than just using text try and create a graphics post like the one above or just use a stock image of the event / artist you are selling as this will catch the buyers eye more.

To create the best and most engaging tweet listing do the following to help be seen in the algorithm more:

  • Name of artist / event

  • When / where the event takes place

  • The tickets you have available (standing / lower / upper tier)

  • Always include the price you are wanting for the tickets - this avoids timewasters and unnecessary DMs of people asking for the price when they are most likely only wanting to pay face value.

  • Include for them to Direct message you as many buyers may not know how to properly use Twitter (some just use for looking for tickets) so by inviting them to direct message you, you'll get a better response rate as I feel some may just be enquiring which may turn into a potential sale.

  • Offer the payment methods you accept on the tweet, again this avoids any people wanting to only pay via PayPal for example which from a sellers point of view can easily be charged back upon as discussed in the section before this.

  • Try to use # where you can. (#jamesacaster , #tickets , #hecklerswelcome #james #acaster) all of these when being searched by keywords in the search bar will help your listing show around the top (the more you invest into improving you page) the more you will show up in the algorithm.

  • If you do have a reference thread you can link the tweet to your listing as seen above. This helps dramatically as when people do come across your listing tweet they won't second guess your legitimacy as they will scan through multiple tweets.

If tickets are not yet available to transfer but you do want to make a sale, try offer the buyer a deposit scheme / buy now pay later so that you have the sale reserved. You might not get paid the full balance straight away but you would still be getting paid quicker than sites like Viagogo / Stubhub
